ABSTRACT
An 88-year-old female patient with right-side total hip arthroplasty was referred for follow-up imaging examinations. The X-rays confirmed the correct prosthesis location and showed nonhomogeneous remodeling of the greater trochanter due to pseudoarthrosis. Interestingly, the X-ray revealed numerous disseminated rice-grain or cigar-shaped calcifications in soft tissues. Such calcifications develop in muscle cysticercosis.
